ROGERS - Keith Westmoreland of Rogers is the current men's golf club champion at Pinnacle Country Club. But since winning the tournament last summer, he hasn't hit another shot at the 18-hole course. For that matter, neither has anyone else.
Ten months later, Westmoreland is very eager to hit that next shot. He and other club members will soon get to do just that. The 148-acre course will be cleared for play beginning Monday, June 1 - the original target date for re-opening and a full three months before the LPGA Tour returns for the third annual NW Arkansas Championship. It's scheduled the second week of September.
