Pantene Beautiful Lengths
In celebration of women’s health and the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship presented by P&G, LPGA Tour professionals and volunteer hair donors throughout the community are teaming up with Pantene Beautiful Lengths to help create wigs for women living with cancer. In 2011, LPGA Tour players Kris Tamulis and Tiffany Joh donated eight inches of their hair to create free, high-quality wigs for women who have lost their hair due to cancer treatment.
In 2006, Pantene started the Beautiful Lengths program as a way to help women undergoing cancer treatment by creating real-hair wigs through the generous hair donations of program participants. Six years ago, Pantene, the LPGA Tour and the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship presented by P&G held their first cutting event and nine women donated their hair. Over the past several years, the event has grown dramatically in the number of participants, recording over 150 donors at the event last year. In total, over 270,000 ponytails have been collected to help create over 18,000 wigs for women dealing with cancer.
