Ninety-eight of Top 100 on LPGA Official Money List Commit to Field
The world’s best female golfers, including 18 players in the top 20 Rolex World Rankings and 19 of the top 20 in the LPGA Official Money List, are headed to Rogers next week when the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship presented by P&G returns to Pinnacle Country Club June 17-23. World Rankings No. 1 Inbee Park, former Arkansas Razorback Stacy Lewis, Suzann Pettersen, Na Yeo Choi and two-time tournament champion Yani Tseng lead the field of competitors vying for the $2 million purse, one of the largest on the LPGA Tour. Players had until Tuesday at 5:00 p.m. to register to participate in this year’s tournament.
To date, the 98 of the top 100 on the LPGA Official Money List have committed to play making the field one of the strongest in event history.
Other notable LPGA Tour players scheduled to compete include defending champion Ai Miyazato, Cristie Kerr, Paula Creamer, the world’s top amateur Lydia Ko and University of Arkansas freshman Gaby Lopez. Both Ko and Lopez received official sponsor’s exemptions last month.
