The Road to the #NWAChampionship officially ended today with Razorback Golfer Samantha Marks qualifying to compete alongside University of Arkansas teammate Gaby Lopez in the 2015 Walmart NW Arkansas Championship presented by P&G. 18 women competed for two spots in the LPGA tournament during the Monday Qualifier held today at Pinnacle Country Club. Marks and Kristi O’Brien earned the top spots, shooting 71 and 72 respectively in the 18-hole qualifier round.

Both ladies will join the field of 144 players vying for the $2 million purse at the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship presented by P&G this weekend. Official tournament play kicks off Friday, June 26.

The Road to #NWAChampionship was announced earlier this year as a partnership between the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship presented by P&G and the University of Arkansas Women’s Golf Team. The program guaranteed one Razorback student-athlete a Sponsor’s Exemption into the tournament and two qualifying spots for the Razorback Women’s Golf Team in the 2015 & 2016 LPGA events.
