ROGERS, Ark. – This week, the LPGA Tour returns to Rogers, Ark. at Pinnacle Country Club for the 15th edition of the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship presented by P&G. Among the 144 players competing for the $2.3 million purse is Rolex Rankings No. 2 and last week’s Cambia Portland Classic winner Jin Young Ko, making her third appearance in the event after a T9 finish in 2018 and T18 result in 2019. There are six other players from the Rolex Rankings top 10, including the 2016 champion Lydia Ko (currently No. 6).

Defending her title this week is Austin Ernst. Heading into the Sunday of last year’s event, Ernst was looking for her first win in six years starting four strokes behind 36-hole leader Anna Nordqvist. A final- round 63 secured Ernst her second-career victory, her first in 143 starts on Tour.

Joining Ernst and Ko are five additional past champions: Sung Hyun Park (2019), Nasa Hataoka (2018),

So Yeon Ryu (2017), Na Yeon Choi (2015) and Stacy Lewis (2014), who also won the 2007 event though it was deemed unofficial due to rain delays making it an 18-hole competition. Lewis also joins six other Razorbacks connections in the field, including two-time LPGA Tour winner Gaby Lopez and current redshirt senior Brooke Matthews, who recently set the NCAA 54-hole scoring record of -25 at the Cougar Classic in Hanahan, S.C.
